Didinger: I did an Under Review on that precise topic, Vick often hits receivers in a spot that disallows them from running after a catch.
Didinger: VIck has sort of regressed, he's sort of developed some of the bad habits he had in the past.
Ray: Bad ankle for Shady, they didn't want to risk it.
Very nice play by Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who has played well since moving back outside.
Quite frankly, some of the first-stringers have just as much to prove in this game as do the backups.
Ray: Yes, I would, and I think they will. Not with their first pick. Maybe second day.
I could definitely see them drafting a quarterback to come in and compete with Kafka. This is a solid crop
Ray: Yeah, I think he's gone, regardless. Try to trade him, though they won't get what they'd like.
A third-round pick for Asante sounds about right.
Ray: Not a consensus among the whole panel. In my opinion, more likely than not, this is his last game as an Eagle. It's not an open and shut case, however.
They won't franchise him, they won't pay him $14 million. A team to look out for with DeSean...would be the Jets, who badly need a speed receiver.
DeSean Jackson would be an unrestricted free agent if things remain in their constant state.
They could tag him and trade him. A team would part with a nice amount, thought it's hard to envision any team giving him the money he wants.
A lot of good free agent receivers this off-season. Vincent Jackson tops the list, Wes Welker and Mike Wallace would be on the market, though you'd expect the Pats and Steelers to retain them.
Ray: Well...it's not very encouraging that as bad as the safety play has been, it took Jarrett this long to reach the field. Jarrett is playing way deep and he's not being aggressive, he seems scared to be beat deep.
We're talking the Bills and Ryan Fitzpatrick. I (Ray) think he's a backup really, was surprised to see him receive the big-money contract.
They might think the kid isn't up to speed with the blitz pickup, things like that. I would rather see Lewis playing but I think the coaches are worried about the blocking aspect.
He's active today. He'll play a few snaps today. I think he just needed this whole year to come back from very serious, microfracture surgery. It's a full-year recovery, really.
Yeah, Brian Rolle is a pretty good player. I don't know that he'll ever be a difference-making player. But he's smart and fast, and there are definitely ways to utilize a player like Rolle in your defensive package.
I see Rolle as a player who will be here for a while (Ray). Decent on special teams, too.
Hard to see Jackson returning. Don't know that he'd have a ton of trade value but the Eagles would do their due diligence.
We do, Pat. Someone asked earlier. We could see the Eagles spending a second-day draft pick on a QB in a deep pool of QBs.
It should be a linebacker, there are pretty good linebackers in this draft that will be available around where the Eagles are picking.
Defensive tackle wouldn't be the worst thing, either. A dynamic player to play alongside the Eagles' dominant end duo.
Michael Vick looks shaky.
Just a dead crowd at the Linc today. That Keenan Clayton hit woke some people up!
You had to make changes. You couldn't leave what was out there...out there. The problem was that the provided
