That is a long way off for sure....but Ihave to admit, I have thought about it. It would be electric.
He did an outstanding job. But the Admas Trophy usually goes to a coach who has taken a team from a bad season to a good one. The Flyers weren't bad enough last year for Peter to fit into that criteria.
Ithink the Flyers would relish a crack at the Rangers. They won all six games, but the Flyers feelmany of those games were winnable. A challenge, for sure. Daunting? I don't think so
Art Ross goes to the leading scorer so Malkin gets that automatically. Giroux should have been nominated for the AHrt Trophy though which goes to the league MVP. Malkin will win that too,but Claude should have been a nonminee over Stamkos in my opinion
I mentioned in an earlier answer. If Bryz gets back to that level, and the Flyers avoid any serious injuries, they win the Cup.
Chris Lee and Kelly Sutherland are your referees tonight
Chris Lee does tends to find himself in the middle of things as they say. Hopefully tonight we are talking about players and not officials afterward
We will find out a lot about the Devils character and chemistry tonight as they play without their most dynamic offensive weapon in a game they really need to win
Not at all.....Im sure many will do the same
Marty is smart.....that is his intention
Right on. The Flyers 'mental focus will get a test tonight. They have been hearing how good they are for over 48 hours now. Then the news that Kovalchuk isn't playing. It would be easy to fall back into a false sense of security. Remember, desperation wins in playoffs
Duly noted Erick. I went with Jake Voracek as you will soon see
The Devils came out with plenty of juice in Game 1 but when the Flyers pushed back, they didn't seem to have the energy to lift their play to another level. That could have been because of the short time between series for them. It could have had todo with Kovalchuk's condition. We seeifthey have another level tonight
I love the way he plays every night. No points in the playofs...but his speed and tenacity create things for this club.
I think think this is the deepest team up front that I have seen in my 18 years here. They are also realtively healthy (knock on wood). They are at least healtheir than they usually are at this point of the playoffs
That is what I am going to be watching early on.
That's it everybody.......I'll be back post game.....and the show will be on the Comcast Network in all likelihood. Perhaps some on CSN as well.
pens offense is better than the devils, but the flyers were good defensively.
Devils' top goal scorer, top op threat, and top point-getter is not there.
