Hello everybody.....ready for Game 4 questions and comments
As you ask your questions and makeyour comments, please give me your confidence level for the Flyers chances tonight 1 being low and 10 high
I dont know of any injury. And I can't believe he ran out of gas so quickly after looking so energized vs. Pittsburgh. I think it ismore likely the style of play doesn't suit his game so much. He doesn't have much room out there. He is going to have to find a way
We won't know for sure until warmups. He did skate some in practice with Gustafsson so it is a possibility. Personally though,I dont think he goes.
That is always the question with a less than par player. With Couturier, it isn't like he will lose a ton of speed with a leg injury. He can still rely on his smarts to cover the right angles and play well defensively
I think there is a little bit of both. I think the Flyers have had difficulty adjusting to the lack od space out on the ice after playing a wide open series vs. Pittsburgh. The Devils are pursuing the puck very well. The Flyers have got to get back to grinding things out
I do think there could be some value in ramping up the animosity quotient some with hits and scrums. The Devils came inot this series saying they would stay out of that kind of game and they have thus far. But Im not sure the Flyers have been all that antagonistic. Maybe a littlemore sandpaper would help.
Yes....but that comeback was historic for a reason. Teams don't back from even 3-1 very often. The Flyers numbers in that situation back that up. On the other hand 2-2 after tonight and all of the sudden things seem fine. that's the playoffs!
I actually think the Flyers will bring it tonight. My confidence level is at an 8.5
Agreed. It was a lot easier to develop that hate against the Pens. The Devils have practically made it antiseptic so far.
They need to get in his way....take his eyes away. And occasionally, they need to maybe give him a subtle bump here and there. Say HAppy 4-0 to him!
I think he is healthy. There could be concerns about mobility. But I will say your point about the right handed shot is well taken. And I think Liljastruggled in Game 3 so the time for a change would have been now
JVR is apparently playing with Giroux tonight with the revamped kine combinations. So it's imperative that those two create some offense. Simmonds should be on the other side. He too will have to step up
He is legitimately a game time decision.......not just media talk. SO it's a complete mystery how much he can bring. They will have to see how the leg reacts if does play at all
The more desperate team usually wins this time of year. The Flyers should be the more desperate club tonight.
It's always a tough decision for a coach. I tend to lean toward staying with what got you here too. However, I will say, Jagr really struggled early in this series and HArtnell seems a half step off too. Peter probably figured he had to be proactiveand give him differnt options...at least to start
Well, if they play their puck pursuit game properly, they will spend a lot more time in the offensive zone making life difficult for Broduer and thus not have to worry about Parise doing damage. The best defense sometimes is a good offesne
I said earlier I prefer to stick with what got you here. But Peter saw that top line go VERY stagnant early in this series. He felt it was time for a change
If only it were that simple. But I do get your point. They need to simplify things and if there are shots available, they need to take them. To be honest, the Devils have done a great job shutting down the shooting lanes though.
Bryz has not been the reason the Flyers are behind in this series, despite what I've read. Having said that, since he has been inconsistent all season, there always has to be concern as to which Bryz we get
There has been some of that. But they've been good at keepoing it legal. During long stretches of the play they have simply moved their feet better than the Flyers sothey haven't had to clutch and grab
I think the Flyers win........as for a score......maybe 4-2
I have given up trying to use words to describe Bryz off the ice! lol
